![]() ![]() Into whatsoever houses I enter, I will enter to help the sick, and I will abstain from all intentional wrong-doing and harm, except for punching people in the face with boxing gloves. I decided to run with my unexpected discovery in another way, too. Right now those days are past and I have a power fist from Novac equipped, and boy have things turned around. I could barely whittle away at baddies initially, so being able to knock things out first - it usually takes about three punches - was an easy, if somewhat dull and frustrating, way to take out any opposition. I was stuck with my fists for a while since I didn't really have an idea where Unarmed gear was, so that came in handy. You can't loot them during this period and they're still considered hostile, so it's generally not a real alternative to normal combat, but knocking someone out completely freezes them for a sizeable amount of time. The Boxing Gloves aren't really useful as a direct weapon, but they allow you to knock someone out by damaging their fatigue. So, one of the things I forgot was that tagging Unarmed gave you Boxing Gloves right at the outset. Admittedly even with that, the trait's still pretty damn useful. I can't get Slayer, and I've forsaken Better Criticals in the name of getting a more doctor-y sounding perk. Ten perks, my friends, and a bunch of them are wasted on the low-level stuff. Slight catch there, though: I'm running JSawyer.esp in Hardcore Mode for this, which means Logan's Loophole doesn't limit me to level 30, but instead level 21. For yes, this is a Logan's Loophole build, for what kind of doctor doesn't create a bunch of chems and inhale them until they have super strength? Why Unarmed? Guns would probably make more sense, and Energy Weapons would tie into the Sciency side, but 1) I've never done a full Unarmed run before, 2) I initially wanted to present them as "not carrying a weapon", and 3) it felt most in-keeping with the perpetual drug use. Tagged skills were Medicine, Science, Unarmed, but I've been building Speech and Sneak close behind them. So, for something different I've built up a sort of Wasteland doctor build. ![]() I saved and reloaded and the effect was gone. I got a screen of blue textures (like I'd just taken cateye in-game) when I got to Jean's Sky Diving. One during Ghost Town Gunfight, one before I left town with Sunny following me, and another as I was heading down the highway.
